EU regulations about car repairing at home?
I need to know what the EU environment and pollution regulations are for people who carry out DIY car repairs; I know they are pretty stringent for professional garages, but as there are a great many people who repair their own cars, I’d like to know what regulations apply concerning the environment and pollution. Can anybody help? Thanks!
Nothing to do with EU, local council regulations only will affect you. There is no law preventing you carrying out repairs and servicing at home providing you are not doing it as a business and you are not causing a nuisance or annoyance to neighbours. You will have to dispose of waste and used items correctly and in accordance with local council byelaws.
